Nexus, answered plainly.

What Nexus is, which help desks it reads, where your data lives, what runs on the wall, and what it costs. Still stuck? Ask us anything →

Getting started

What is Nexus?

Nexus is a self-hosted help desk wallboard that puts your live support data on any screen — tickets, SLAs, calls and team goals in one place for the whole team to see. It runs on your own server (or a managed private instance) and shows on TVs, desktops and phones.

Can I try Nexus without connecting my live help desk?

Yes. Nexus includes a zero-setup demo mode that fills the board with realistic sample data, so you can explore every panel, theme and board style immediately — no configuration and no account.

How quickly can I get Nexus up and running?

Self-hosted setup takes one Docker command, and a first-run wizard walks you through connecting your help desk and activating your licence. Managed hosting has your board live at its own address in minutes. See the quickstart.

How does the free trial work?

Every plan includes a 14-day free trial, and you're only billed if you choose to keep it. You can cancel any time — there's no lock-in and no per-seat pricing.

Platforms & integrations

Which help desk platforms does Nexus support?

Nexus integrates with Zendesk, Freshdesk, Freshservice, Jira Service Management, HaloPSA, SuperOps, NinjaOne, ConnectWise PSA, Zoho Desk, Help Scout and Front. You pick your platform in the first-run wizard and paste an API token; every platform reads the same live board. See the connection guide.

My help desk isn't on the list — can Nexus still work?

Nexus reads the eleven help desks above out of the box. On the Enterprise plan you can also build a custom connector to any system with an API, and add monitoring vendors (UniFi, SuperOps, NinjaOne, Datto, Auvik and more) as their own panels. If your platform isn't covered, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether it fits.

Can Nexus show device or network monitoring, not just tickets?

Yes — ideal for MSP and IT walls. Add monitoring vendors and each gets its own per-client health panel next to your support numbers. UniFi is on every plan; the wider cloud-network, RMM, backup and security vendors come with Enterprise. See monitoring vendors.

Does Nexus route or auto-assign tickets?

Optionally, with Switchboard (a public-beta add-on, included with Enterprise). It reads your unassigned queue and matches each ticket to the right person by specialism, live availability and current load — recommending, or assigning automatically behind your safety rails. See the Switchboard overview.

On the board

What screens and devices can I use Nexus on?

Any screen you own: TVs and monitors through a web browser, a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Each device keeps its own layout, theme and board style, so the wall TV and your phone can look completely different.

What metrics and features can I display on the board?

KPI tiles with RAG status, SLA breach countdowns, agent leaderboards with movement, backlog burn-down, a busiest-times heatmap, first-contact resolution, reopen rate, per-agent CSAT and team-goal thermometers — plus live call queues where your help desk exposes voice data. Every panel is yours to toggle, resize and theme.

Can I change how the dashboard looks?

Extensively. There are 11 colour themes, six looks and eight Designs, all mix-and-match. Board styles go further: one click swaps the whole dashboard for a purpose-built screen — a neon HUD, a retro terminal, a competitive leaderboard or a mission-control NOC wall — each theme-aware and carrying your logo. Every choice can be set per screen.

Does Nexus track SLAs and warn before a breach?

Yes. At-risk tickets carry a live countdown to breach, sorted by urgency so the room reacts in time. Threshold alerts post to Slack, Teams or Discord (with cooldowns and a recovery message), reach your phone as mobile push, and can trigger a full-screen war-room takeover when things spike. More on the SLA monitoring page.

Can I run Nexus on several screens at once?

Yes. Screen Sync (Pro and Enterprise) gives an admin a live view of every connected screen and can identify, group, reload or push a board to any of them from Settings — and screens can auto-reload onto a new build when you update the server. No walking the floor.

Security & hosting

Is my help desk data secure with Nexus?

Yes. Nexus is self-hosted, so your data never leaves your own server — it reads your help desk directly and stores board state locally. Secrets such as API tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and account passwords are scrypt-hashed. Read access can be gated with a passcode, named accounts or SSO. See the security page.

Do I need to run my own server to use Nexus?

No. If you'd rather not manage a server, Nexus offers managed hosting — a private, isolated instance in a UK or EU region — for an additional £15 per month on any plan. Otherwise, self-hosting is a single Docker command.

Where is managed hosting located?

Your managed instance runs in a UK or EU region of your choice, isolated to you — not a shared multi-tenant pool. It's the same Nexus you'd self-host, run and updated by us. See managed hosting.

Can I share the board with a client or put it on a public screen?

Yes, on Enterprise. Access links create named, view-only or client-scoped URLs that sign a device in automatically; client-scoped links are isolated to a single organisation's data server-side. You can also embed a chrome-less board in an intranet or status page, or show a compact client status card.

Pricing & licensing

How much does Nexus cost?

Nexus is flat-priced from £29 to £119 per month depending on plan, with unlimited agents and unlimited screens — no per-seat climb as your team grows. Managed hosting is an optional £15 per month on top. See pricing.

Is there a per-agent or per-screen fee?

No. Pricing is a flat monthly fee per plan, with unlimited agents and unlimited screens. Add as many wall TVs, desktops and phones as you like without changing the price.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. There's no lock-in — cancel from the billing portal whenever you like and you won't be billed again. The 14-day free trial bills only if you choose to keep it.
